In all of our secondary academies we support students to engage with the world of work. This is often in the guise of work experience which either takes place within the school term or during the school holidays. Students in Years 10 to 13 carry out work experience placements with leading organisations and businesses where students take part in tasks and challenges designed to develop their wider employability skills.
Many of our students find their own placements which is an important part of their personal and professional development. A potential career aspiration and their course if they are in Key Stage 5.
Where the academy does not offer a full work experience programme, we engage with businesses and organisations who offer a range of interactions with the world of work to inspire our students.
Through this programme students, gain the skills and abilities to apply for the top universities and apprenticeships schemes.
