Amazing Turnaround For Milton Keynes Primary

Performance at a Milton Keynes primary school has been transformed since becoming an academy in 2012.

When Simpson Primary School became Charles Warren Academy in September 2012 it was rated in the bottom five of 99 primaries in the Buckinghamshire new town.

Now it has soared to be among the local top ten achieving schools in the Department for Education Key Stage 2 performance tables and second in terms of 'value added' and progress. In fact if you compare Charles Warren with all schools with the same starting points nationally it almost tops the bill in fourth place.

The academy was graded 'good' by Ofsted in 2014 on its journey to becoming outstanding.

The rapid upturn in achievement and progress also coincided with the arrival of Kate Holland as Principal of Charles Warren Academy who praises the whole school community for its success and especially the hard work and dedication of the staff and the children.
