Brilliant Broadlands

Young soccer stars from Broadlands Academy, near Bath, have powered their way through to the final of a national competition - and in spectacular style.

The Keynsham based Year 10 side have been winning games in free scoring fashion in the five previous rounds scoring  25 goals and conceding just two. They have beaten off challenges from schools in Bath, Bridgwater in Somerset, South Shropshire, Wolverhampton and Suffolk to reach the final.

Now they await the winners of the other English Schools' Football Association Small Schools semi-final between teams from Scunthorpe or Chester, and Clitheroe in Lancashire.

We wish them every success in the final of this highly prestigious competition.
