The youngest students at Greensward Academy in Essex hold an end of year 'Readathon' to experience the joy of reading, as well earn much needed money for their favourite charities.
This year's theme was 'World Literature and Mythical Literature' and each English class created and performed a short play based on one of the stories they have studied in lesson time. Together they raised over £800 and more than £100 was raised by one studentalone, Emma Barritt.
The chosen charities this year were CLIC Sargent: For Children with Cancer, Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and Together for Short Lives.
Take a well earned bow Emma and all of the Year 7 students at Greensward.
