The school play area in a Lincolnshire village primary is to be transformed thanks to its successful local fundraising efforts and a £10,000 grant from the National Lottery.
Work on a £15,000 Outdoor Trim Trail at North Thoresby Primary will begin soon and is expected to be completed before the end of the summer term. It will feature a climbing wall, bridges and wobble boards. This will make playtime a fun fitness event at the 68 pupil academy.
Executive Headteacher, Helen Redmond, said: "We are thrilled for the children as it means they will have a purpose built, outdoor play facility that they can use, and securing the funding means that it will happen sooner rather than later. We have made sure that within the trail there will be things for all ages to use from our youngest children through to our oldest. The academy is very fortunate," she added, " to have such a group of hard working parents to help with the fundraising."
