Congratulations to Rebecca Sherwin who returns home from the 2015 Baku European Games with a bronze swimming medal.

Just days after her fifteenth birthday, the Felixstowe Academy sporting star made the 200 metres Womens's Backstroke Final and struck bronze in the 4 x 100 metres Medley Relay Final with team members Georgia Coates, Amelia Clynes and Layla Black.

A member of the Suffolk based swimming club Teamipswich Swimming Club, Becky had beaten the girls 13 years British Age Group Record for the 50 metres backstroke at the 2014 Commonwealth Games Trials in Glasgow.

Speaking before the Baku event, she said: "Competing at the European Games will be awesome. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to represent my country in swimming. I have never traveled without my family before so it will be exciting."

Well done Becky from everyone at AET and Felixstowe Academy. We are very much looking forward to hearing more from you when you arrive home.
