Ryde Academy's fantastic performance at the 2015 Rock Challenge National Final at Milton Keynes has earned them a richly deserved second place position.

The academy was one of more than 300 schools to take part in the annual event and progressed to the final from the regional semi final at Portsmouth Guildhall in June. No less than 92 students were involved in the production both on and off stage. Their performance was based on JK Rowling's 'The Riddle of Riddle' and explored the transformation of Tom Riddle into the evil Lord Voldemort.

Over 800 performers appeared at the Final from nine schools across England and Scotland. The team from Isle of Wight also achieved Awards of Excellence for Entertainment, Visual Enhancement, Costuming Character, Set Design and Function, Soundtrack, Drama, Concept, Stage Use and Choreography.

Take a bow, Ryde!
