Big hearted students at Clacton Coastal Academy have raised nearly £500 for Cancer Research by organising a fund raising event in their favourite sporting activity.
They held a charity football match at the local Clacton Football Club to support families affected by cancer.
They raised the money through a £1 entry fee to watch them play and held a raffle with no less than 35 donated prizes including luxury food hampers and cuddly toys.
Stephanie Neill, Head of Clacton Coastal Academy, praised students Lorna Sharpe and Charlie Campbell (pictured) for not only organising the charity match but relating their experiences with such confidence to others in their Year Assemblies.
She said: "I am very proud of the dedication to our community being shown by our students."
