Students at Maltings Academy are jumping for joy after their academy was given the highest Ofsted rating for the first time in its history.
After an inspection on March 4 and 5, it was rated outstanding.

Inspectors found that students make rapid progress from when they start at the school and a high amount of pupils make expected progress in English and maths at GCSE.

Highlights from the report:
"Teaching is highly effective." "They approach their learning with enthusiasm, confidence and determination." "Students’ behaviour is excellent, both within lessons and around the academy site. Ithe words of one student, ‘teachers care for and support every single one of us.’" "Students make rapid and substantial progress from their different starting points, regardless of their abilities. High proportions make expected, or above expected, rates of progress in English and mathematics at GCSE."

What an achievement! Congratulations to all staff.
