The AET Olympic Enterprise Project

The AET Olympic Enterprise Project was set up to incorporate aspects of Literacy, Numeracy, Personal Development and Sport around the topical theme of the Olympic Games 2012.

It had three stages to emulate the Games; the Heats ran between 16 and 24 April. During this time competitors had a variety of mandatory and optional tasks to complete. Schools that successfully went through to the Semi Final had to compete a number of activities on 14th May and the Final stage was the next day on 15th May.

The activities were all through the AET learning platform and participants creatively uploaded their work as pictures, Powerpoint presentations, documents and Prezi presentations. We also had a few National Anthems written and composed by some teams as an optional task.

After nail biting moments to meet deadlines and lost intenet connections the final winners were:

In first place - Gold Medal winners – Clacton Coastal Academy
In second place - Silver Medal winners – Bexleyhealth Academy
In third place - Bronze Medal winners – St James the Great Academy

All the teams that entered did really well and the team is now working on ideas for next year.
