East Point Academy - Year 8 Football Team

Congratulations to the East Point Academy Year 8 Football team on their county cup win Thursday night.

Mr. Baxter was present at the match, and he was full of praise for the team: "The boys showed fantastic determination, passion and a real willingness to win. The match went to penalties despite us missing two penalties, hitting the cross bar twice and the denes goalkeeper making some great saves in normal time. There was some real raw emotion last night with some of the boys in tears during and after penalties. They were a real credit to themselves and the academy. It was without doubt one of the best and most nerve racking games of football I’ve ever had the privilege of being involved in."
