Tendring Technology College Netball Tournament

Tendring Technology College Netball Team - Amy Compton, Ale Dean, Lacey Devaux, Lucy Harris, Katie Langdon, Isabelle Dick, Nicole El-safey, Eleanor Buxton, Abby Swift, Ami Lovell, Sophie Lane, Olivia Leonardi and Rebecca Williamson.

A tournament was held at Clacton Coastal Academy - Teams from Mannigtree, Clacton Coastal Academy and Colne attended.

Tendring played some excellent netball throughout the tournament winning all their games, fantastic goalkeeping by Lacey Devaux and Lucy Harris kept the teams from scoring against them. Ale dean, Amy Compton and Isabelle Dick worked extremely hard with excellent defending and attacking skills, their work rate was superb. Katie created opportunities around the D to score goals for Tendring. There was an excellent team spirit and attitude throughout the tournament, an asset to the School. Rebecca Williamson (Year 7) was asked to play for the Year 8's. Her passing and movement was excellent, creating many opportunities for Tendring to score in attack. Olivia Leonardi, Eleanor Buxton and Ami Lovell showed some excellent movement in the D to score many goals between them, well done to Olivia Leonardi and Eleanor Buxton who went as Goalkeeper (Not their favourite position, but played really well keeping the teams from scoring against their team). Sophie Lane and Abby Swift created many opportunities in attack and defended really well. Nicole stuck to her partner when defending, which stopped their attacking play.

The squad played extremely well at the tournament, these girls are committed to training each week and are an asset to the College. They have been winners of both tournaments, without losing a game. The Tournament final will be at the end of February, so any Year 7, 8 or 9 girls interested in playing netball, come to training on Wednesday evening between 3pm- 4pm.
