Chris Meaney


Chris is Director of ICT of AET and a Chartered IT Professional through the British Computer Society. He has considerable experience across many different sectors, including financial services, media, culture, arts and higher education. He was formerly IT Director for the UK’s second largest multi-academy trust during which he successfully delivered ICT into 16 new build projects and in partnership with PfS and Google created the world’s first total cloud school - based only upon web and cloud services.

Prior to this he was Head of Technology for the Royal Academy of Music, where he modernised their entire ICT estate enabling them to engage in new partnerships.

He was formerly the lead partner of a management consultancy which worked with Siemens, Thames Water, Wates, British Library, House of Lords and the National Portrait Gallery. As part of his work he raised over £10.5 million for good causes in the culture and arts sector. Chris also worked in senior roles in ICT in IPC Magazines and Commercial Union. In his spare time, Chris is also a Director of Think Free - a charity supporting people with food-related illnesses.
