Teaching Leaders

Teaching Leaders are now receiving applications for its 2016 TL Primary cohort

Looking to develop your middle leadership skills in 2016?

Consider applying for the Teaching Leaders professional development programmes for either primary or secondary middle leaders.

Programmes for both phases focus on developing you as a leader of your team, keeping a rigorous focus on making an impact on pupil outcomes.

TL Fellows and TL Primary are for middle leaders in schools in challenging contexts.

TL Fellows is our two-year selective leadership development programme for high-potential secondary school middle leaders.

Fellows receive intensive coaching and training that stretches and supports them to lead their teams with confidence and transform pupil outcomes in their areas of responsibility.

The programme is centred on an Impact Project where Fellows set and track progress towards pupil impact goals within their area of responsibility. All training takes place outside of school hours and starts with an inspiring, developmental Residential.

TL Primary is a high-impact leadership development programme for middle leaders in primary schools in challenging contexts. The programme helps you to achieve your School Development Goals by improving pupil outcomes in reading, writing and numeracy and narrowing the achievement gap.

There are two entry routes:
  • Year One is suited to newer middle leaders looking to build their core leadership skills.
  • Year Two is highly selective and aims to stretch and grow high-potential middle leaders, helping them to deepen their impact.
