Funding opportunity: national scholarship fund

NCTL has launched a £1 million scholarship scheme for existing teachers and special education needs and disabilities (SEND) support staff. The scheme aims to provide an opportunity for teachers and SEND support staff to deepen their specialist knowledge, focusing on special education needs and disabilities.

This initiative will allow schools to share knowledge, enabling impact of the activity to extend beyond the applicant’s school or collaborative group. We are encouraging schools to join and work in partnership with a lead school submitting an application on behalf of a collaborative group.

The maximum scholarship will be £3,500 for teachers and £2,000 for support staff. However, the value of each award will vary depending on the type of activity funded. Scholarships will be awarded where applications are judged to be of sufficient merit.

The scheme is open and will close 30 May 2014. For further information and details please contact us on 01376 505581 pr alternatively email: mporter@academiesenterprisetrust.org or jbutler@academiesenterprisetrust.org.
