Would the school still retain its preferred curriculum model at all key stages?

Yes. Our guidelines suggest an ‘appropriate’ curriculum for all pupils and the sharing of best practice across the group offers heads and curriculum managers the opportunities to see a wide range of curriculum models some of which are very innovative. The final decision lies with the governing body subject to any National Curriculum requirements.

Would the Sixth Form be part of the sponsoring group’s planned future for the school?

We are working with five of our academies to open Sixth forms. The Raising of Participation Age from 2013 will have a significant impact on post-16 provision.
Our role is to support each of our academies in delivering their vision. If you as a governing body felt that Sixth Form was the best direction for the academy, we would support it.
