Having worked with data in education for over 10 years, Jo has considerable experience of the ever-changing aspect of data needs in school life. With a strong background in the school support structure, her role as data manager aims to provide support for all levels of staff working within our academies. Her main role is to provide individual academies with relevant and accurate information so that all aspects of teaching, learning and monitoring can be completed effectively and efficiently.
In line with current research and understanding, Jo firmly believes that the informed use of data can help raise the overall quality of teaching and learning at both whole school level as well as in the classroom. She is, therefore, keen to raise the profile of data within Academies and, through the right levels of support, challenge and monitoring, ensure that accurate data is accessible and used by all as a tool for improving teaching and learning. The ultimate aims being to ensure that all staff recognise the importance of accurate data, intervention is correctly focussed and every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
