Ian Foster Chair of the Board |
Ian Foster worked in the motor industry for thirty-seven years attaining senior positions in Manufacturing, Supply and Logistics in the UK, Europe and the USA. Ian led the Greensward College as Governor and subsequently Chair for several years through a period of continuous and sustained improvement. When the DCSF invited Greensward, through its charitable trust, to become an academy sponsor he resigned from Greensward to take up the position as Director and Chair of the sponsor’s operating arm the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET). |

Jerry Glazier Board Member |
Jerry Glazier has been an Essex teacher and trade unionist for thirty-five years. He is Chair of The Steve Sinnott Foundation, a registered charity supporting the global campaign for primary education for all by 2015. |

Stuart Green Board Member |
Stuart Green is Chair of Governors at Everest Community Academy where he has served on the board since 1999 as well as serving on the board of Costello Community College between 2002 and 2009. He was awarded the Don Allen award for services to education in 2007 by Hampshire County Council. |

Ali Jarral has been a Greensward (College) Academy governor since 2006 and in 2008 became a trustee of the Greensward Charitable Trust – the sponsoring organisation for the Academies Enterprise Trust. He then joined the Academies Enterprise board of directors in early 2010. Ali, with MSc. in electronics, is a practising consultant in IS Infrastructure Architecture / Technical Project Management roles. He has many years of experience working with local and central government departments. He has visited many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, delivering humanitarian aid and helping set up schools for poor children |

Steve Leverett Vice Chair of the Board |
Steve is Vice Chair of the AET Board having previously worked in Essex County Council Children’s Services as Head of Strategic Partnerships. It is his skills and experiences acquired whilst in that role that he feels are of strategic use with the Academies Enterprise Trust. Steve also undertakes voluntary work with the Essex Fund Raising Committee of the Prince's Trust, and undertakes other voluntary work within his local community, including designing and maintaining a community website. |

Keith Lomax Board Member |
Keith is the Chair of Governors of Columbus School and College, a special needs academy in Chelmsford, Essex catering for children and young people aged 3 to 19 with a range of learning and physical disabilities. He has been a governor of Columbus and its predecessor schools for over twelve years. Keith is an Internal Auditor, currently working for a company that leases cars, adapted vehicles, mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs to disabled people. He also has experience in Telecommunications and the Motor Industry (where he worked in IT before becoming an auditor). He is also a volunteer director and Honorary Treasurer of a national sports |

James Skinner has been Headteacher of Beths Grammar School, Bexley since September 2002. Following an Outstanding Ofsted in 2007 he became a National Leader of Education with a brief to support other schools by increasing their leadership capacity and help raise standards. A graduate of Oxford University, he has been a teacher since 1981. Prior to taking up his current post he was Deputy Principal and Director of Finance at a City Technology College in London. |

David Triggs Chief Executive Officer |
David Triggs, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Academies Enterprise Trust (“AET”) and London Academies Enterprise Trust (“LAET”), has nearly 40 years’ experience of working in education and was Principal of Greensward (College) Academy from 1994 until 2008. Following his intervention work he was accredited as one of the first National Leaders of Education in 2006. Between 2005 and 2010, David led the Executive Headteacher training programme for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and he is proud that he was involved in developing over 220 Executive Heads. Whilst David is immensely proud that Greensward College and now Academy has been judged as Outstanding three times in the last 12 years, much of his work since 2000 has been as an Executive Headteacher supporting schools in challenging circumstances. He has worked with 12 schools or academies where he has helped to build the capacity of leaders and governors. He has helped 7 schools or academies out of Special Measures but has also worked with other schools to achieve the highest Ofsted judgments. |

Eric Watts OBE Board Member |
Eric graduated in mathematics before commencing on an accountancy career in the City of London, Eric is now part time retired (!), but continues his charitable and voluntary commitments at local and national level advising on human resources and employment issues. He is a non-executive director of two companies and trustee and board member of a UK charity. In addition, Eric is a governor of a Kent independent school and chair of Molehill Copse Primary Academy. A Freeman of the City of London and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Eric was a member of an international education body leading to short term work contracts in India, East Africa, Caribbean, USA and Far East. |
